F-16 84-1303 Mishap

22 Sep 2003: Crashed at Fort Polk, Louisiana on a routine training mission. Fatigue failure of an engine blade at the first stage caused imballance which lead to all blades on the first stage being torn out. Captain Louis A. Davenport (111 FS) was able to eject safely and flew again 12 days after. Wreckage buried itself in the ground in a forest.
